"Be for Who, Who be for you" -- Heru Speaks
I just learned that here in Dayton, Ohio, the Food bank is in a state of crisis. While nationally, due to Hurricane Ike and other natural disasters, most Food banks are doing well. Yet in many local and regional areas, Food Banks are hurting. I urge each and every one of you to donate anything you can: time, money, or food.
Often, people think that they have to donate money. That is far from the truth. Many Non government agencies and non profits need volunteers and materials (such as canned goods, stamps, envelopes, blankets, etc.). You would be surprised at the kind of stuff they need. Do you have an old printer lying around in the house? You never know who could use it. I know that economically, times are rough. Yet we have other ways to give.
Support your local food bank. We all know that many of us might be heading there in the next couple of months. Check Second Harvest for a Food bank near you.

Big up to the folks at Liberator Magazine (a dope blog and magazine -- I need to renew my subscription). This information might be a little late for some folks across the nation. My sister from another mother Khia Jackson and T.K. Borsay (another contributing writer for Liberator) did the math.
It's a piece on how felons can vote. pass it on...

Just recently started reading your blog. I will be donating to the food bank this weekend. I saw a piece about another food bank in the city that is having problems due to the black out. I been up late watching all the local news to keep up with everything that has been happening in Dayton in the last ten days.

Peac,
U know a brother keeps your blog on tap like spring water. Good observation about food banks. We use them here for the refugee location service I work for. I also saw something not too long ago about college student rocking them recently to fight recent economic trends.
